Common Questions

Who owns the PORS system during the contract? +

Koastal Eco owns the system for the full 10-year BOOT period. At Year 10, ownership transfers to the mill for RM 1.

What if the system underperforms? +

If recovered oil volumes consistently fall below the guaranteed threshold, Koastal Eco will remove the system at our cost and exit the contract. The mill has zero financial exposure.

How long does installation take? +

Installation — from contract signing to commissioning — typically takes 4–6 months, covering civil works, equipment installation, and commissioning.

What does the mill need to provide? +

Approximately 250 m² of land adjacent to your existing separation station, plus electrical and water utility connections. No capital investment, no equipment, no operational staffing.
